Good day Y'all - I have been wondering what the difference is between the DC amps with the orange power light and the ones with the blue power light? The ones that have the Contour option seem the same except for the power light color. Which is older? Are there any sonic differences? Any information would be appreciated!

I ask because I have a 1x12 combo DC-2 (orange power light) that I have been gigging with and I love the tone, but it is so dang heavy to tote around to gigs. Recently, I purchased a DC-2 head (with the blue power light) so I could have an easier time setting up for gigs, as I have a Boogie 1x12 cab to go with the head. The new head has a little less mids than the combo. Maybe a little more muffled. I was wondering if there were changes along the line somewhere in manufacturing???

Also, one item of note - the head has a wired in power cord, where the combo has the standard removeable power cord.

Well, for those of you who may be interested, I got off my lazy butt and checked the serial numbers.

The head (blue light) is DC2-02545

The combo (orange light) is DC2-03569

There we have it in age, but I still do not know if there were any differences between them?
