Hello, I recently sold a Rectoverb head and combo that I quite liked but needed to pay bills. I'm considering getting another Mesa and am being drawn towards a MkIV. The reason being is that it uses Class A. I am a hi fi geek and love the sound of Class A stereo amps. My question is does the fact that the MkIV is a Simul-Class Class A/AB design make it a more musical sounding amp?

I Think the Aclass is more used on smaller venues.. it got the smaller headroom and volume which makes it great for cranking easy.. the whole simlu thing is a pretty dam nice feature..

I swear by simulclass....but you have to put EL-34's in the outer sockers for it to live up to its potential....
