In this live Dio video, it shows Doug Aldrich using Marshall amps, but I've never heard a Marshall in my life that sounds like this. In my opinion, it sounds more Mesa-ish:

... and here's a different song with the same sound:

Is he hiding a Mesa somewhere? Cuz I'm really confused. :?

It sounds like a Marshall to me. It has that upper mid bite of EL34s.
But I still hear a low end growl like a Rectifier. And what makes it sound so HUGE? Stereo chorus?

I highly doubt that's a Rectifier you're hearing. The palm mutes are way too tight to be a Recto. It's probably so huge sounding from the sound system.

If it is actually a Marshall, he must've replaced everything that was originally in it. But I'm still not completely convinced... maybe he slapped a Marshall logo on another amp haha.

It's a Marshall. He's got a distortion in front of it (not OD), sounds a bit like a Metal Muff or a smooth-modded Rat. Believe it or not, with just a smidge of help, Marshalls actually sound like that and have since the JCM-800. Ya gotta remember, most of the metal that's ever been played has been played through a Marshall, including the high-gain stuff of the mid to late 80's, and even much into the 90's. The Rectos didn't completely steal all the market share on metal until the late 90's and after, and even today, there are still plenty of Marshall users out there.

Indeed. Any metal festival I go to here in Europe, Marshalls outnumber Mesas massively. Don't see many Mesas to be honest. And a lot of the bands are American. Just not American nu-metal.......!!!

No OD's are in front. He was using Golub, Suhr, and Cameron modded Marshalls back then, they weren't stock amps.

Here is a link to his rig: http://www.dougaldrich.com/html/gear.htm
Cameron Marshalls, Jose Marshall and a couple other things.

He does indeed use an OD in front. Its called a Rocket Fuel. And HEAVILY modded Marshalls.
