i have a recto cab w/ v30's now.
i'm getting a 2nd one, and i kinda want to try something different in it.
i'll be running a 5150 and a mark IV through it.
i'm thinking about trying mesa c90's.
how do these typically sound?
do you guys think they'd sound good in a recto 2x12?

Flatter than v30s. Little more headroom than them. I AB'ed rectoverbs with a v30 and with a c90. Seemed like the V30s were darker. C90 had more presence. And by presence I don't mean oomph or anything I mean that spectrum of frequencies.

The C-90 sounds a lot like the Celestion Classic Lead (80) to me. It has fairly flat frequency response with a lot of head room. I think it is a better choice for an open back combo than a Vintage 30 or G12T-75.
