Just saw a post on the gear page about a mod for the DC5 Output Master Control. According to the post there is a resistor on the Output pot. Apparently removing this smooths out the taper giving it a more useful and uniform curve. Has anybody done it? Heard of it?

here's the link to the mod

No opinions????

It helped a *little* bit at wife volume, but I don't notice enough difference at band volume to say it's a must. I'd have left it alone if I had known the lack of difference. but that's just me...

I think I'll leave it. I've had the amp since 1993 and honestly it's never posed a problem or been an issue. The two channel volumes are pretty even...the lead channel has to be a little louder...cleans for one cut more and two, lead channel is for...well...lead. So. If it aint' broke don't fix it. Amp is retied anyway for now.
