Choices

Standing at the edge of a decision
And a thought has just occurred to me
If I had walked another path
I would have found another destiny
It's so easy to say
If I had another day
To take a different view
If I only knew
That the choices I made
Were the choices I gave
To all the ones in my life
Unnecessary strife
But it will be all right
Ah- Ah- Ah- Ah
It's my plan, it's my plan, it's my plan
To find some balance and some kind of
peace
Another day, another chance
A different choice that I will see
It's so easy to say
If I had another day
To take a different view
If I only knew
That the choices I made
Were the choices I gave.

Have been enjoying this song for years now. Hats off as always.

thanks man! appreciate the listen...

metalmatt
thanks, yes that tune was fun to play, once i had it down solid.
it's such an easy riff to knock out, but when you play it tight, it just sounds aggressive....
plus, it's easy to double on the acoustic!
the guitars were miced with a AT4033, close on the grille, and the greenback is pretty old, so it's real broken in....

Trem-
thanks man, i'm glad somebody's gettin' it....

scotty-
thanks for checking it out...

one of the reasons i dig my IIb so much, is because it DOESN'T sound like everybody else!!
LOL

so, you know, searching new tones is cool....
and there's a lot of newer stuff i just really dig (Diezel comes to mind)

but i pretty much use my boogie as a 'starting point'...

there are no knobs that are left in any one spot, save for the bass control, that never moves above 1.75.....

heheh

so, i craft each and every track with new guitars and new amp settings, tweak the pedals, just try to find the sweet spot for that ONE track, at that moment...

once i gave up the idea that i had to have that ONE SIGNATURE TONE>.....

LOL

then, i realized that no matter how i set the amp, whether it was gain or tone or the eq, i ALWAYS sounded exactly the same!!

LOL again......

so, basically, i think a good amp, is one that keeps purity of tone, gives you drive and gain you want, and basically lets your instrument sound the way it is.....
without putting some sonic stamp on it that makes you play a certain way.

there are certain amps (i wont name names) that just make me play a certain way, and i don't feel as free on them as i do this one.......

YMMV
