I've posted in another thread about a problem I'm having.

http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=41374

Can you fellow owners do something for me? Please? :) Turn your amp on, channel 1, clean or fat (not tweed). Engage the effects loop. Use the output knob as the master volume.

Plug guitar in, turn volume knob on guitar off.

Put knobs in CH1 somewhere between 11 and 1. In each power mode (10, 45, 90) Start with the Output knob at around 9 o'clock and turn it up. Let me know what you think of the sound coming out when you get to 11 or 12 o'clock on the output knob and later.

Try it also without a guitar plugged in.

Now, do the same with CH2 and CH3 and let me know if you think the noise was WORSE on CH1 or not?

Thanks in advance if you can try this for me. I'd love to hear how your amps are sounding and if I have a problem with mine or this is just the way it is.

I tried in 10watts with the guitar volume down and the output on the amp cranked. I didn't hear much noise at all.

You can hear this over the drummer!?

HA! NO way I'd hear it over a drummer. But if I was mic'd to a PA, then the PA would be picking up this noise for sure.

I recorded it.

All knobs on all channels at 12 o'clock position.
All switches in each channel in the middle, except CH3 is in extreme mode.
EQ, Reverb OFF
CH1 Normal/thick : normal
CH2 Normal/thick: normal
CH3 Normal/bright: normal

Starting setup: effects send set all the way OFF, nothing plugged into the effects loop, but effects loop is enabled so I can use the output knob. Guitar plugged in through Tu-2 tuner and Weeping demon WAH, but guitar volume is down.

I run through the channels with the effect sends OFF. (noise not bad)
Then run through them with it at 12 o'clock. (noise is quite prominent, especially channel 1, when I turn the channels up)
Then again with effects send OFF. (noise not bad)
Then I bypass the effects loop. (noise is quite prominent)

For each channel I start with the output knob set to all the way down, and crank it up. I tell you in the Mp3 what I am doing.

I uploaded it to my really really old band's soundclick site. It's called MesaTones.
