Well i finally saved up enough money to get a roadster head and a cabinet of choice. I still havent found anyone in state that has one so im thinking about just ordering it and crossing my fingers. I love the rec sound and the idea of a better clean than the duals. I wanna know if anyone has any thing i should know that would shun me away from buying... ive heard about the pop but it seems like more and more units are having less of that prob. Just give me some input on how you like it and some good cab ideas please...ive been looking at boogie and orange cabs...4x12 Thanks guys....i hope to join the boogie family soon.

If you buy a RK, you get that awesome freakishly huge Kong Kontroller. I like the idea of using that thing as a a life preserver. You could tie it to your @ss when you hook up with a groupie so that you don't fall in.

All seriousness aside, you might consider saving a few more $ and just getting the RK if you are ordering new anyway. You might as well get all the goodies.

Your cab choice will depend upon the type of music you are playing and the final twist you want on your amp's sound.

Let us know when you get your amp and be sure to post pics. We all love amp porn around here.

In case I haven't done this yet, Welcome to the Board :D You'll find that this place is a well of knowledge and some here are even pretty humorous.

have you played through a Roadster yet ? If not, I strongly suggest you don't buy one blindly. The Roadster is a great amp BUT it seems that once the honeymoon is over many users end up with buyers remorse.

Do you gig often ? Large venues ? A 100 watt head/ cabinet is no bedroom amp.

Please, please, please do yourself a favor and do not buy one without playing it.

Also, you could use the footcontroller for the Roadster as a baseball bat. **** thing is enormous. I lugged it to one gig and was very annoyed.

Lets see if i can answer everything lol . I was planning on buying new. i was hoping it was buying blind since ive played dual and triple recs and i love the rectifier sound. I heard channel 3 and 4 are very close and thats what i want...but the idea that the roadster has better cleans is what really sweetens the deal. I play every style really which makes the roadster seem perfect due to it versatility. I play in a rock band but have trouble explaining our sound so just listen.

Im very into blues and jazz... i will be playing in my colleges jazz band and of course im going to start up a cover band to pay some bills.
So i need blues jazzz classic rock and modern tones.
I do play out quite a bit with numerous bands and my house is very much in the boonies so i can crank it as loud as i want. Ive carried around honkin pedal boards before the amp pedal shouldnt be to much trouble.
Btw right now im playing a line 6 flextone. I just need a new amp!!!!

If you already love the rectifier tone then you will have no problem with the roadster. By the way it will cover all the ground you are describing so i would just go with it.

Sure thing. I hate saving someone money.

Just kidding, of course. It sounds like a Roadster is the amp for you. Good luck with your purchase

I also agree thats its critical to really check an amp out thoroughly before you buy. I had the Roadster for about six months and had my ups and downs with it and honestly feel its a great amp. Very versatile and good for playing out with different guitars. Like many boogies ya gotta spend time with it and tweak. I actually miss the amp at times kinda like an old coffee mug that ya get rid of. Good luck dude and my advice would be to be patient, do mucho research on it and rock it out in person with your most versatile guitar.

Whether it's new or used, it sounds like the Roadster is for you. Yes, channels 3 & 4 are almost copies of ch 2 & 3 from my '01 Triple, the Roadster just feels smoother to me.

If you are into the Recto tone, I think you will be very happy with the Roadster.
