im not sure if its original, but im sure you could order the black face with the black chassis if you wanted from mesa. And, i've seen the black on black DR's before floating around here and there.

I wouldn't worry about that, it's the same tolex that's on my R0050, it looks legit and original. And it's lots more durable than the stuff on the newer models! My guess is that's a very early model like mine. Here's a comparison pic for you:

my Blackface also has that rough tolex. It holds up extremely well! Not a scratch on it since 92! It's the same tolex as the old Mark amps

Yeah, it looks more like a "Bronco" style of tolex. Could have been custom ordered back in the day. I mean, now they have all those different kinds of covers, and the tolex's range from the normal Black Taurus, to Bronco, to Rhino. I'd imagine that since the regular Taurus tolex has changed, that the others have changed over the years as well. I dunno...I could be wrong :lol:
