Tubes are subjective....there are many, many topics in the tube forum.

agreed. I think tubes are a thing you just have to try for yourself. It is not a bad idea to read through some posts on different tubes and see what is said about them, then pick some up for yourself. I feel it is all trial and error for what tubes you will like best.

I just put the SED EL34's in my 2ch recto, very nice sound, smooths out some of the hight end fizz.

very subjective topic, but i like el34 MUCH more than 6L6


right now, i've running 2 6v6 and 2 e34l and this is by far the best my dual has ever sounded... for more info, call bob at eurotubes
