attach a 1x12 cab to .50 cal +

just want to be certain that the attachment to my 1x12 combo is correct ... the person i bought it from unplugged to cable from the main speaker on the combo and plugged it into the auxiliary plug on the back of the combo, then attached a cable from the main out ?? to the extension cab.

any help here appreciated. :roll:

i didnt get the "then attached a cable from the main out " . . . he take the line out direct to the speakers?? or he just switched the outs?? like when using only the internal speakers he used the 8ohm out and when added another extension he uses the 2 4ohms out?? if he did this youre ok, it's the right thing to do . . .

what i observed was this ... a connector to the speaker on the combo/main cabinet. it was unplugged and a extension cable was plugged in to the extension cab ... will try to get pics this evening. or maybe even call Mesa ... if i can get to a phone before it's too late.
