As requested, song featuring my recto and stiletto

Ok, here's one song that my band Afterglo just recorded on 3/12/06,
its just a rough mix and some vocals are gonna be re-done and of
course, it hasn't been mastered, but this can give you an idea
of the duel recto and stiletto wall of sound.

The recto is on the left channel and the stiletto is on the right.
The clean tones are recto first, then split as above, and same
for the middle section.

Please keep in mind, we're just a garage band that does this
for fun and as stated this is a rough mix and it is not mastered.
My band will kill me if they find out I did this :wink:

Wow! It was very interesting to split my speakers and listen to the comparison of the two tones. They compliment each other very nicely.

That's actually a really nice setup....it's almost as if the Stiletto perfectly tops off the recto for the perfect tone. What cabs are you playing them through?

Could I ask you to share the settings on your recto?

How about the "Stiletto One" clip, that was monstrous.
What did you set the amp at to pull off that tone?

I really don't remember what any of the settings were. I just dial it
in until I like the sound but I can say that the bass is always all
the way up, mids usually all the way down and the treble and presence
below 12 o'clock.

I don't remember what the recto settings where, but its the modern
channel.

In the studio is really when I decided the stiletto does kick ***.
There's actually 3 songs I recorded that is just recto and I'm
gonna go back next week and re-record them so half of the guitars
are the stiletto. I just don't like the tone of just the recto by itself
any more, I like the tone of the 2 amps together. That is the ultimate
tone for me.

As a side note, I took a lot of guitars to the studio but the brighter
sounding guitars always sounded best especially my Carvins and
my Fender American Delux strat and Peavey wolfgang. The Gibsons
I recorded with (SG standard and Les Paul standard) sounded completely
dead and I have to re-record those tracks with my Carvins. Isn't
if funny that what makes a great guitar for live shows does not
always mean its gonna be a great recording guitar, just weird once
you fit everything into the mix, some guitars work, some don't.

Hey dude!! i want to buy a stiletto trident but i wonder if i can play metal throught this amp, i like the rectos but i'm kind of short of money so.... i want that marshall tone but with lot of gain in there to go from led zep to mmmm... let's say the tone of the bruce dickinson and rob halford song "the one you love to hate" .... can i get that kind of sounds out of this amp?
