I guess the reporter did come with only one Mesa Mark V head (the head from the bottom is disconnected ) ...

If he likes it so much... it means their latest album is Mark IV... as in the album he can use whatever he wants... the same happens live... endorsements are for show... you can use them, or not... just put your rack behind the amps that are showing and use them instead of the ones on front.

The absence of front panel screws in the second picture is a dead giveaway. Clever marketing, no doubt. Or, they installed the Mark V chassis into a Mark IV headshell.

Mark Morton rig with 2 Mark IV and next exactly the same with 2 Mark V. .. and only the Mark IV rig is on ......

Maybe it is during the Mark IV to Mark V transition... :?

It's probably there so they can run extra cabs on large stages.
