If so, how does it work with the ED? Thinking of the 4-cable method. Mainly interested in effects only.

If ur interested in Effects only and wanna run 4CM check out the Line6 M13!

Did you have to do anything for ground loop hum?

I love my Axe FX, but it took me some time and an ebtech hum x along with a small transformer to get rid of all the ground hum when I use the 4cm method with it.

If I was only interested in effects I would have gone that route over the Axe fx for sure.

But being in a small house it is nice to be able to use the axe fx at night through headphones with my tascam.

I like the idea of being able to set up patches of effects and switch at will. M13 I am sure is great but looking at something a little different.

I tried the HD500 with my Electra Dyne with the 4 Cable Method and it screwed with the tone from the amp. I set the POD to power amp configurattion, and actually every other setting as well with no effects on and it still messed with the tone, and it was obvious and i couldn't deal with it. Sent the POD to the scrap heap.

As long as you keep the power supply away from your amp you should not have a Hum w/ the 4CM(My setup with the ED/M13 is dead quiet).
