I used to have both Kahler and Floyd Trems in all my guitars back in the 80's shred days. I loved the Kahlers to death over the Floyd's but the problems I had were more maintenance/durability issues with Kahler as apposed to the Rose system. Seemed like I was always having to fix or adjust something, as opposed to the Floyd which was just a hunk of metal that you locked your strings on. Things might be different today, just comes down to personal preference. Try before you start routing!

i've had my kahler pro in my carvin DC-200K for 24 years now.

i've never had to fix, or even adjust, a single thing.

now, THAT's a product coming through with a promise!!

LOL

just put a hybrid on one of my guitars....
i'm digging it in lock-down mode.

Another thing I've noticed with the Kahler Pro is that my strings still have sustain after over a month on the guitar. Normally I change my strings every week or so. Now they're lasting forever! Also, I'm not having any problems with string breakage. This has been one of the best modifications I've done to my guitar.

I had a Kahler Flyer on my Aria Pro II back in the 80s and 90s. Since then, I've played only Mann-Made, Fender American Standard, or vintage-like Fender trems. I couldn't speak to the tone now, but my favorite for feel and staying in tune is still the cheapie Kahler.
