I have a purple stripe MKIII Simul-Class. The reverb is generally too in the background so I've been using rack FX for years

I see from this thread that a resistor to the fx loop can increase the level of reverb.

Has anyone done the resistor mod and does it make a significantly useful difference or cause other issues?

I was thinking of making the reverb pot a push/pull to switch the resistor in series

It looks interresting to me, as my second III has double as much reverb amount than my first. But the seller has told me there hadn't been done any mods ???

On the MKII and Mark IIi you can use as high as 25K if you want to sound like Dick Dale.
3.3K is standard, but the higher you go the more verb you get. For one guy I used a 10K and he was thrilled with the reverb.

Thanks for the response

I have a few resistors I can parallel up and I may pick up a 10k trimpot so i can adjust things a bit
