Hello Everyone!

I've been following the "Tubescreamer for R2" thread and I'm curious:

Has anyone used or is using a Bottle Rocket or a VTwin on the Mark IV's R2 channel? What has been your experience(s)?

How about a Chandler/Butler/Tubeworks pedal? All opinions welcomed. Thanks!

Matt

Funny, I followed the same link and that's exactly what I tried out last time...
A V-twin pedal in front of the Mark IV.

Yep, it's true, Channel 2 mixes well with pedals.
I A/B'd the V-twin (blues channel) with a regular Tubescreamer.
V-twin wins. No doubt about it.
And if you dial in a good amount of presence, it's just enough to push a little glassy edge to the sound. Good for SRV type stuff.

I still like the lead channel better.

I have a bottle rocket but I never thought to try it through my R2 channel.

I usually keep the gain on R2 around 7 and goose it with a booster I built. That works for me to get an extra (like I need it) tone out of the MKIV.

I'll have to try the bottle rocket into the MKIV sometime.

Scott
