Is anyone making brand new 5751's today? When I search/google all I get are NOS tubes. The few that I've tried were always microphonic or else crapped out within a few days or weeks.

Isn't JJ or TungSol or somebody making new 5751's?

There are more new ones but I will stop my search there.

Purchase elswhere or pay this outragous price.
Newsensor=svetlana the link is from the newsensor website.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks.

Svetlana is actually under the New Sensor umbrella, svetlana.com is the same web site as newsensor.com. trivia for you.....

Wish the prices weren't so high there.

Sovtek makes some, but the cost is about the same as NOS JAN Phillips and the tone is just not there

I ended up with the same results, NOS are the same price as sovteks ect. Yet he is looking for a
tube that is newly manufactured. I welcome that idea, I never entertained a new tube on a 5751.
I do believe JJ has a 5751, for those that like JJs. I could not find the link and only spent a few minutes looking.
I might try it just to toss one in the Ampli AT1000.
I am interested in the specs.
/cheers

JJs make a 12au7, a 12at7, I have not found a 5751 although I am almost certian I saw one.
Now I am searching the web ggrr.

Any of the current production 5751's I've seen sound like weak chinese 12AX7's compared to any of the NOS's.If you want the true sound of a 5751 go with NOS.

I am with you 100% if you want NOS tone you best be getting NOS tubes.
Yet, I do not apply that to just the 5751. I apply that to all tubes as of this date.
I have yet to hear a newly manufactured tube that sounds NOS.
I have heard many claims to the fame. Just when I think a new production is there,
I notice it is different in another area, consistancy, highs, mids, lows, ect.
Somethings I do not think you can "remake" or "reissue"

Yet his post is asking for newly made 5751s. I am going to do a test on one of them, which is really not
fair but I am not wasting alot cash to check some new tube that I have no use for.

Yeah,I am no fan of any curent production tubes at all.Even if a new tube can produce tones equal to the NOS's,there is no way they will last as long as a good NOS.Due to the comparatively lower demand for tubes nowadays as compared to the old days,in order to sell enough tubes to make production profitable, there is a built in obsolescence, they will never make them like they used to.
