my favorite non mesa tone (love it more than van halen, etc. etc.) is the tone nuno bettencourt had (especially on recordings never seen live) on extrme iii



the rhythym tone on "rest in peace" is so friggin smooth and thick at the same time its hard to describe...


i have a RK now you think getting an mp-1 through the mesa power amp (both 6l6 and el34 are present) would get me close to that???


they are cheap on ebay relative to ther preamps and amps...


i mean i have all dimarzio pickups on all my ibanezs (3 bridge PU on my 6 strings are - steves special, evo, virtual hot paf) so i mean thoughts???



my Eb tuned ibanez with steves special PU ive gotten close to it on the 3 channel on my road king in vintage mode that grainy thick tone...



thoghts? should i get a seperate "warmer" power amp???



and that tone on that album was all ada mp-1 right??? i thin peavey power amps he used

i love nuno's tone on the 3rd album as well....one of the best ever....but i never heard it was all done with an mp-1.....where did you get that info?
