Thought I'd share this.
I connected a 50 watt 8 ohm resistor to one of the extension speaker sockets of my Studio 22+. You can hear a noticeable volume drop when you do this. I've been using this for low volume gigs, and find no loss of tone, and I can crank the amp up a bit.
No permanent change to the amp, and costs about $10 all up (resistor, jack plug, and couple of inches of lead).
cheers, Bill.

even cheaper, is a blanket.
