What are the best sounding tubes for a crystal clear clean sound a heavy crunch sound with liquid lead sound? thanks! Preamp tubes suggestions are also welcome thanks!

I do not know about best but ......

I put some KT66 in it for awhile and the girth was un~real.
The 6L6 sounded so small after it was hard to believe.
Cleans/leads just sounded so much better.
I felt it sounded better with 6L6's for rhythm chunk stuff.

If you can find/afford Mesa STR415's I'd do that.

Current production I think the GT 6L6GE are exactly what you're looking for and worth every penny.

I just did a re-tube on my mark IV from eurotubes.com and I am very happy with the way it sounds, mine was the Mesa MK 1V 6L6/E34L high gain Option

I have four 6L6 TUNG-SOL on my mark, they are the best tubes i've ever heard, full and rich sound! they are expensive but it's the best choice for my Mark IV.

Another tips: My amp's technician has modding the BIAS, so when i change tubes i can setting perfectly the BIAS, with this mod mark will working best.
