Is this a whole lot of turd or what!

i think the guy said 25 tubes. So what... that's 4-5 maybe 6 preamp tubes and the rest are 6L6's. I think it's just as dumb as the inception of the Blue Voodoo amps themselves. The only thing I liked about those amps was the clean channel and that's only because there was a decent breakup going on when cranked.

I don't know what these companies think sometimes. How many major acts are even actively endorsing the crate amps? I think Sammy Hagar is/was but anyone else?

sammy hagar loves his red voodoo. Kid rock also is a big crate user. in the end its just digitally processed dual rectifier-knockoff distortion. even in the blue voodoo. I have heard solid state gear that sounds better than a BV

It is probably more of a marketing thing with the endorsement than desire to use the gear. Here you play our stuff we put your face here. BTW here is the gear to backline your gigs and here is some money too.

Many people don't even use the backline you see. They do however have to have it on stage for the endorsement deal. Look at all those Dual Rec's on Metallica's stage. They aren't even plugged in. Just empty boxes lit to look like they are on. Dummies... Sure they play Mesa but it is backstage or elsewhere and mostly in a rack.

I am sure that others are swayed by management or producers to have the affinity to whatever benefit and end up having the endorsement for a while just because. Then being bound to a contract keeps them there. It would be nice if it wasn't so much of a business and stayed more pesonal.

I just find it interesting that Gibson doesn't offer artist's a bigger break on pricing. These are the guys that Gibson should be concerned about keeping onboard because the other manufacturers are creeping up on them very quickly as far as popularity. Look at Metallica when they switched to ESP. Maybe that is why Gibson got so pissed and sued ESP. Treat your guys like they are nothing special and they will walk. I have seen this time and time again professionally.
