Hello.

I found new oldstock russian 6P3S army tubes from seventies for sale.
I heard that those are bulletproof tubes with great sound.
The guy who sells it, says that he can select quarter for any bias setting.
As I know, Mesa buys tubes from Sovtek, and 5881 is recent copy of 6P3S.
I use set of 5881-6L6 STR425 45 AC GRN, and they are best tubes I ever had in Mesa amp.
All I need are technical parameters needed to select quartet of those tubes for MESA fixed bias settings, to work just like 5881-6L6 STR425 45 AC GRN.
Any Tube-Freak on Boogie Board who knows it?

Thanks!

I agree, the STR425 is the best sounding tube currently offered by Mesa. Super durability. Mesa does an outstanding job matching and testing their tubes. You'll want to be careful, as there are a couple different versions of the 6P3S. Look for the wafer base type. Measure idle dissipation and get examples in the middle of the mA range. These will work best with Mesa's fixed bias.
