.50 Caliber+ Combo - Speakers

I need a speaker for my .50 Caliber + Combo. Any tips?

I have used a V30 & a also tried a G12T-75 and preferred the G12T-75. I play Metal Rhythm Guitar.

I hear they recommend using a speaker that is higher watts than the amps output? I have a chance to buy a Celestion Greenback but was concerned about it being 25 watts and my amp 50 watts - advise?

I like the sound of a Celstion G12-75 mixed with an EV. The EV has some nice clarrity in the low end for chugging rhythm and the Celestion adds the grit. If your only using a combo I'd go with the 75.

For playing metal nothing beats a closed back 4x12.

I have three boogies a Rocket 44, Studio 22 + and a 50 caliber plus. Installed are Eminence Red Fang or Private Jack. These are my favorite speakers hands down and with the exception of an Eminence v12 in and old gibson 15 watt amp it is the only speakers I now use.
