bought one yesterday and it arrived today. all I knew that it was a dual recto 2 channel with the small logo on the front and one knob for the serial loop, sounded good so far. nice condition.

I packed it up for 30 minutes ago, flightcase was included.

went for the red channel directly.ohhhhhhhh holy moses what a sound.****...
so tight and aggresive on the same time. no need for a boost here my friends,

the nr is r 0355,serial loop one knob, 8-16 8-16 4 4 ohm.

IM SO HAPPY!!!! thanks to the boogie archives for info and stuff, and all you people who manage to hear my talk about the 2chan vs 3 chan

Sound clips! I'd really love to hear what one of those early DRs sounds like compared to the later 2 channel ones. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for yours?

Congrats again!

hey mattias(?), good deal!!!

try clooning the red channel to the orange channel ... and activate the effect loop, turn the effect volume (on the back) up to about 7, turn the channel volume (on the front) all the way up én use the loop volume (in the front) as your master volume ... i promise you sonic heaven!!

@ magic ... the early ones have more brilliant highs without going too 'fizzy' and way tighter lows than later models, i have no clips though.

Hey there, gongrats on your purchace, its great when you get a good amp that sounds great. I have a triple rec, and am interested in trying the loop idea that you were talking about. Do you mean 7 oclock or 7 as in 1 to 10 with the loop level?

hey TREC, i'm not sure if this works or if it's going to sound ok with a parallel loop ... but yes with 7 i meant 7 in a scale of 1 to 10. the volume knob of the serial loop (on the back of the chasis) of an early dual rec is numbered 1-10, hence... :)

to be honest, it might sound like **** on a triple rec or a dual w/ a parallel loop ... i only know that some people find this trick to be incredible useful to get that little extra 'mojo' out of their dual rec. because the valves are pushed a bit harder (you have turn the channel volume above 12 o'clock). i use the loop volume as my master ... you beter make sure that one is turned off before you try it (otherwise, beware of risk for heart attack, you wouldn't be the first) and gradualy turn the volume of your preference in. anyways, i love the way it makes my dual sound.

let me know if it works on a parallel loop.

hi people. i dont have any soundclips but ill try to put up some pics.¨

for you who wandered: I paid 1300euros for it with flightcase and shipping

Hi !

I own # 28C, #406D and # 11950G. There is an improvement between a G and a pre-500, but there is also a difference when you go from D to C. All pre 500 are great, but any of you guys who can get their hands on a C, don't miss that chance.

Yes the trick will work with any kind of loop, but if parallele you should put the "return" knob to 100% wet, otherwise i think you will loose some signal strenght.
