2 6l6 and 2 el34 in same time

Hello !

I try on my dual rectifier to put 2X 6l6 and 2X El34 and put the bias switch to El34 the sound was terrible. I don't have play a lot like that for not broke something. I use to play with 6l6 in my old marshall who use EL34 . My question is is it dangerous for the amp to run it like that. i don't care about the tube i will replace it if it burn.

The tubes would need to be specially matched to run them that way.

But.....

If it sounded terrible to you, why would you want to do it??

EL34's and 6L6's draw different voltages to achieve their tone flavor. Mixing them is a big no-no as they will fight each other and run the amp hard !!!!!

I got my dual rectifier friday this my first mesa.
i use to play on a bassman silver face fender amp and a JCM 800
i'm very happy how my new amp is versatil.
