LSC has the Spooks......whats up with this?

not saying this is what is happening, but I had the same thing happen in a Splawn Quick Rod. I'm pretty sure it was on account of the button to engage/bypass the effects loop had gotten a little dusty. I pushed it a few dozen times, and voila! No more crazy amp level changes.

Your tricks for a SICK lead tone?

+1 on the tube screamer idea. They make a sick addition to a "rhythm" sound on your dirty channel too. Different variations on sick, but I've found with the LSC by going easy on the gain from the amp, and using a clean boost pedal, and a Barber LTD or a Home Brew Electronics Power Screamer, I...

    amp suggestions

the Ace is worth a demo. Especially if you are playing at less than ear splitting levels. The feedback you can coax from it is SO pleasing. It handles 7 string metal with ease. I even used it in a big band with an archtop, and it sounded pretty **** good

    Stilleto Sound 'Issue'

don't know if this would work for you or not, but some people like putting a tube screamer in front of their lead channel. Not to be used as a distortion pedal really, but more of a boost. The gain stacking might be enough to put it over the top. Try it to see if you like it. I've heard of...

Is Mesa planning a refreshening of the Stiletto line?

i'm all for the Stiletto/Road King idea!! That would be one hell of an amp. A Lonestar for the cleans and a stiletto for the leads; all the in the same head? They'd sell a million of them...

    Allright...... Roadking???

I used to own an Ace. I now own a Lonestar. Can't weigh in on the roadking, but that definitely seems more like more of a dual recto type gain. The Ace kicked *** for the Marshall side. The cleans were good, but not as flexible as I might have liked, especially in very loud settings. The...

    Roadster Cleans - Need Help

Had similar issues in an Ace. Tamed it quite a bit with the diode/fat setting. The gain/master controls seem to be very forgiving, but I had to do it just right so as not to lose the tone.
