Is my roadster letting me down, or am I just getting Old?

I completely understand the dilemma; but for me so far the DC rules them all. my friend just got a RK series 1, and it sounds awesome, but there is some about the DC that just sounds so much better. I, however, wont sell my amps, I am starting a collection : 8) (see sig below) Besides maybe...

LEDs on the footswitch when powering on?

If it uses opti-couplers for the switching, it will either be the one's last use, or just a random timing of the IC's that run them, I would not worry about it at all.

    Mesa in Lawsuit over Fathom

Looks like they changed the name, so I don't think anything should change about him getting his amp. Although if they don't change the name on the Amp, he may have just purchased a future collectors item. http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Bass_Amps/carbine/index.html...

    Footswitch for DC5

You can easily make one --- there is nothing special about the foot switch for these model(s). Basically, the Channel/EQ use the front jack using a TRS cable, Sleve is ground for both, each connect through the SPST Latching switch then through a LED, one to the Tip, and one to the Ring. The...

    footcontroller for gmajor

For the money, I would get the Behringer FCB1010 with the Uno firmware chip. The board is about $120USD, and the Firmware chip is about $10USD. The best part is if you have a PC with any midi in/out you can get some really easy to use software to program the FCB to send just about anything you...

    Mk I + Smokey amp = ...

There should be no danger in doing that. I've read directions in one of the mesa manuals to do exactly what you are doing, even the cable in the send jack not connected to anything. I have not done this myself, because i haven't found a preamp i like more then my mesa's :P

Anyone have a dc-10 boogie reverb footswitch spare?

If you can do simple, and I mean SIMPLE soldering, you can make one for next to nothing --- its a SPST Latching Switch in a box, and some have a LED light in line, its wired in series. If you can/or want to try this, PM me, and I will draw up a schematic, if you have a local electronics store...

    New Mesa amp rumor!!

2 comments: About the parts: I am pretty sure what mesa does, is they make sure they have back stock on parts --- hence why I can still order parts for stuff like my formula, etc --- so they hit their limit for manufacturing, but have enough parts to supply the repair market. Mesa seems to be...
