Triaxis version 1....any good compared to later versions?

I've got a 1993 Triaxis that has been a really great preamp for me. Keep in mind I was never a fan of real time midi control functions offered later. I've played a couple of the newer TA versions over the years and it's my opinion the changes from version 1 are better suited and geared for a...

Wanna better sound with the tri-axis?

fastredponycar...thanks man for posting the link to the mp3 with cable comparisons. I have never been able to notice a really significant tone difference with the highend stuff and decent cables. Really appreciate it!

    Triaxis

My 2 cents....I have a 1994 TA with no mods and absolutely love it so maybe I'm biased. I have limited experience with the 2.0. The only 2.0 I played through was great but I think the choice sort of depends on the type of music you like to play. Also, knock on wood but I've never had any...

What should I buy Triaxis or MK IV ??

I'm new here but I'm old as dirt and I have played through a lot of different stuff along the way. I've been using a TA and 2:90 since 1993. I'll state the obvious, it's all in what you need for your particular sound and I can't imagine a better couple of choices. The Mark IV is an incredible...

    Triaxis getting closer

I think you're gonna be much happier if you use your TriAxis effects loop. It will take some patience and time to dial in your differences in volume and effects. I think you'll also find that any TA tone changes respond very differently with the effect loop. Depends on the sound you're looking...

WHAT DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE V-TWIN RACK PREAMP?!?!?!?!

I played through the rack not long ago and at one time I owned a V-Twin pedal. IMO, the V-Twin does two things really well with tone coloration available but is too limited for what I wanted. It does have a killer lead tone though....

    I have $750. What preamp?

Sounds like a good plan...Depending on your style of music I think you made a good choice with the Studio. You really will need a couple of balanced tubes for best results but mess around with what you have.

    2:90 Switch Problem...

This sounds like an experience I once had with my 1994 2:90. It turned out to be a bad capacitor. I had it repaired locally for $65.00.
