    Lonestar bias mod

Not sure but aren't you bringing two more tubes online when you go to 100 Watts?

FS Lonestar Classic 1X12 w/ bias mod

This amp is modded with a Bias control, Fender tilt back legs, a Weber Cali 12 speaker, and both of the "Reeder Mods" . It sounds great, I have just made a different amp my main machine, and since I now have 7 amps, I need to get rid of some. $1000.00 and buyer pays shipping.

Absolutely. Mine was out of warranty anyways when I did it.

    Mesa Lonestar Classic for sale

This amp is in great cosmetic condition, built in 2004, blue tolex, 1X12, I am the original owner. I have installed Fender tilt back legs, a Weber California 12 speaker, and the "Reeder mod # 1". "Reeder mod #2" I installed originally on both channels, but then I changed the clean channel back...

question for LSC players who use delay in the loop

I think the TC electronics Nova Delay allows you to set the pedal for the amount of signal you are sending to it. I have a Nova Reverb in an amp with a completely unbuffered loop and once I set the pedal for the highest signal I would ever send it through the loop I never had any problems with...

    Lonestar bias mod

Only problems I can see with that is that when you are pushing up with a screwdriver through the hole to adjust the bias, you might push the board off its adhesive mount and it will be loose inside the chassis, it'd be a pain to take it all apart to remount it.

    LSC dies and comes back

Try bypassing or jumping or cleaning the effects loop jacks, every time I've lost power like that (except once when it was a burned screen resistor) it's been the loop. You can at least try those things for free

I think you're gonna love it Charles

    Lonestar bias mod

I actually drilled a hole in the chassis floor and (after deburring the hole and triple wrapping the wires with heat shrink and electrical tape where they went through the hole) used the double sided mounting square the little mod board comes with to stick it on the bottom of the chassis. I'm...

    Lonestar bias mod

I just did the bias mod on my out-of-warranty LSC and after an easy installation measured my plate voltage with a Weber bias rite at 466 Volts. The OEM bias setting had been set to 36 mA giving me a plate dissipation of only 16 watts. I had to turn the bias adjustment several times to get the...

    Lonestar bias mod

So does 1 bias pot run all 4 power tubes, or do you need a bias pot for each pair?

    Speakers for Lonestar

I still swear by the Weber California 12 speaker in that amp,

    New/Old Member needing advice

When you said the tone was stiff I immediately thought of the rectifier circuit, have you tried putting the old rectifier tube back in ?

Xotic BB or Barber Small Fry?

I have a Small Fry and love it, it is an extremely versatile pedal and there are tons of good tones in there

    Thinking of Dumpin' my LSC

I'm not that wild about the Electradyne, too much knob turning for me, I'd rather find the two sweet spots I need on the LSC and footswitch between them. If I never had to haul it, I'd keep the blue pig. The Electradyne looks as if you have to mess with the settings too much while playing to get...

    LSC 1X12 combo for sale

I'm in State College, PA and I have an LSC I'm thinking of gettiing rid of (again, because it's too **** heavy). It has the Reeder mod #1, and the Reeder Mod #2 just on the gain channel. It is the older version LSC. I have fitted it with Fender tilt back legs, and the Weber Ceramic California 12...

    Thinking of Dumpin' my LSC

Creekhed, I hope you don't mind my barging this thread. I'm in State College, PA and I have an LSC I'm thinking of gettiing rid of (again, because it's too **** heavy). If you didn't play a Lonestar....

I would be playing a Blackverb OD from RedPlate Amps

will I regret getting a LSS instead of a LSC?

I haven't played an LSS, so please take this with a grain of salt, but it seems to me that with the use of Yellowjackets you can use EL84s in the tube sockets of an LSC, (which might get you close to the sound of an LSS) and also play the LSC with 6L6s, EL34s, 6V6s, EL84s, and some combinations...

    Reeder Mod #1 Opinion

I actually changed to the 3" casters instead of the stock 2" casters for off road/4-wheeling purposes. Now if I get going fast enough, I can almost always clear the ravine.
