    Mesa 2:100 problem

Solved! I took a uneducated guess and replaced the V1 preamp tube with the extra 12AX7 that came with my Mark IV. Worked perfectly! I'm guessing it's unusual that one of these would go on a power amp. It's also a lot less noisy than before. Sweet!!!

    Mesa 2:100 problem

Actually, I was at first...but even after I moved them to the normal inputs it still did the same. I'm going to play around with it some more this evening, and see if I can get it to work before contacting a repair tech. It's just off warranty too...go figure.

    Mesa 2:100 problem

Hello! I'm looking for some advice on what's up with my 2:100 power amp. I hooked it up today after about a month of not being used, and when I switched it out of standby it's still sitting at the same volume I last used it at (which is pretty loud!), even though I have the volume knobs...

FS: Ear Candy Cabs - Buzzbombs SOLD!

If I may add my opinion...Earcandy cabs are the best sounding cabinets I've ever played through! And Tim at Earcandy is an awesome guy to deal with. I have a Buzzbomb 2 x 12 loaded with Tim's green machines. I'll never buy anything else. It easily keeps up with any 4 x 12. Stephen, if I were...

Looking for tube power amp to pair with my ENGL 530

I'm using mine with a 2:100. It is so overkill, but my god does it sound good!! You'd never go back to the built in power amp again...the E530 is an awesome preamp. It just needs a good tube power amp. I'm sure the 2:90 would work fine as well. I'm also into the agressive metal style...sort of...

    Bought an ENGL E530 Preamp

The E530 is nuts! You won't regret it. A great alternative to those wanting that "chainsaw" tone you get from a Mark IV, for a 1/4 the price!

I power mine with a Mesa 2:100, through an Earcandy 2 x 12. Absolutely incredible metal tone!

What made you decide to buy a mesa boogie?

When I can afford my next amp (this is more like "Why are you going to spend all that money on a Mesa?"), it will without a doubt be the Mark IV. I watched the segment of the 2005 Moder Drummer Festival that featured Chris Adler, and his brother Willie on guitar. I nearly pee'd myself when I...

    Mark IV Question

Hi I am looking at an early 90's Mark IV on Ebay. Is there any difference between the 15 year old Mark IV's and the newer ones (other than age and a little more wear and tear)? I'm wanting to get a Lamb of God type sound, and would rather wait and by a new one if the older ones can't do it...

    My first Mesa!!- question

This amp only has one 8 and two 4 ohm outputs per channel, so that's why I'm not sure.

    My first Mesa!!- question

So I just got my 2:100 today, it's my first Mesa/Boogie product!! I have one question: Until my custom cabinet comes, all I have is a stereo 2x12 cabinet with 16ohm speakers. If I connect each 16ohm speaker to the 8ohm output jacks, will this in any way damge the amp? According to the manual, it...

    Looking for Power Amp

Hi. I'm new to this site. I had stumbled across it today after my new Carvin power amp caught fire, so I decided it was time to try a Mesa Boogie power amp in my rack. Does anyone have a used 2:90 for sale? Thanks
