    LSS and Radioreception

Are you plugged into any kind of power conditioner? Dom Just plugged straight into the wall. I don't even have the footswitch plugged in. The cables between guitar and amp and guitar - one effect box amp, are sort of half-decent. Not the cheapest, and by far the most expensive.

    LSS and Radioreception

When I play through my LSS (1x12), I can often here something which resembles a radiochannel coming through the amp at low volumes. This happens both with my Strat (Texas Special Pups) and my PRS Cu22... As soon as I hit the notes it disappears. It doesn't happen all the time, but quite...

    First Gig Impressions With LSS

The clean channel on the LSS is AWESOME. And what a reverb!!! I use mostly OD pedals through the clean channel rather than the drive channel on the amp. More satisfying to me. I know people may disagree, but that's just my preference.

    Lonestar Special and Zendrive

who uses a Zendrive with their LSS? I got one Saturday, and I'm still tweaking to get sounds to my liking. What settings do you use for different music styles (classic rock, blues, country rock) with either single-coils or humbuckers? I've heard people state that the Zendrive doesn't work that...

    New LLS owner!

I echo GeoBull. And the LSS has a reverb to die for. Great amp. Takes some time and tweaking to get used to. I used the proposed settings which came with the amp as a starting point to looking for great sounds. And there's lots of them in the LSS.

    Lonestar Special and Barber LTD

I got a Barber LTD (I believe its v1 as it is made in 2004) a few weeks ago, and run it through Ch1 on the Lonestar. I haven't been bothered by any noticeable mid-hump and find it to be a superb low-gain drive. I liked the LTD so much that I ordered the Direct Drive as well (new). I also use a...

    Lonestar Special and Barber LTD

Thank you Maurey, now I know what to get myself for Christmas. I'm sure my Lonestar Special and Strat with Texas Special pickups will shine through that little black box. How does the hotrails work for you? Chris

    Lonestar Special and Barber LTD

Hi Maurey, do you have the LTD or LTD SR?? I am torn between the two. They say the SR is excellent if you want to retain the amp/guitar sound, whereas the LTD has a tad bit more colouration. A bit tonal flexibility wouldn't be bad as long as there is no major mid-hump. What's your experience...

    Lonestar Special and Cables

I have a lonestar special with some pedals, and like to upgrade cables from guitar to amp and between effects. Any recommendations? Anyone tried Fulltone or Spectraflex cables? Thanks, Chris

    Lonestar Special and Barber LTD

Great info, thanks! Look forward to some soundclips. I was wanting to use a pedal on the clean channel to 'dirty up' some rhythm tone (like Hendrixy stuff, Little Wing and Axis), and SRV, so this seems like a good one for that. Thanks, Chris

    Lonestar Special and Barber LTD

Has anyone here tried the Barber Electronics LTD or LTD SR with their Lonestar Special (or classic)??? Cheers, CF

    LSS Solo Switch

The same thing gas happened to mine. Solo knob turned higher than output, but when pressing the solo button on the pedal...nothing!! I will follow some of the advice here. If I change the cable, what cable do I need to replace it with (sorry for such a ignorant question)?? A regular cable as...

    Goodbye RK.... Hello Custom LSS!!!!!!!

I use a Homebrew Electronics Big D with my LSS. It has a 5-way switch which gives you everything from cruchy blues to ROCK-ON distortion and even fuzz. It is handbuilt at a 'normal' price, probably in the range the OCD is in. However, I do not know what the RK sounds like, sorry for that.

    mesa bought by guitar center?

What strikes me with GC is the variable quality of service you get. I travel a lot, so if there is a GC in the proximity where I am, then I will visit it. Often you leave the store with a feeling that they are really "not there for you". This changed last Sunday at a GC in St. Charles (St...

Help to locate problem on amp

Thanks for the tip. I phoned the dealer and he will look at it on Wednesday. He more or less echoed your tips and said to that he had seen that on several Mesas. Great to have so many people here on this forum helping out :D Chris

Help to locate problem on amp

I have a LSS which I have had for 3 weeks now (it was demo used when I bought it). I am very happy with the amp. However, today when I played on channel 2 on the amp, and switched to 5w mode, the amp became silent. Switching bacl to 15 and 30w, it gave off sound again. Then I tested channel 1...
