I think the L-90XL might compete with the L-500. I got the L-500XL and the L-90L. The L90 is clearer, got a little more bottom end. Yeah, I heard about it from a lucky guy. That's probably what's going to happen. From what I've heard, if it's true, I think a lot of people gonna get rid of their Mark IV or triaxis/2:90 and try to get the Mark V.

Is there somebody in montreal who would be willing to let one of my friends to try his mark IV? My friend want to go from triaxis/2:90 to the mark IV but he wanna make sure he's going to like it before to make any steps. Thanks.

Yeah, I already had a lot of fun playing with the volume, mid and the presence very high with low treble, bass and very low gain for a dry, edgy sound.

Sorry for the mark IV owners, I don't usually like this amp but you got me with this one!!!! I guess it's all about the setting of the amp. Good playing and great choice of music, very nice. 8)

Did you think about Seymour Duncan Blackout? I've heard they got more clarity and low end. Edited: Btw I removed my EMG's the day I compare them to the Bill Lawrence pups but if you love active pups, stick with them (or go with the Blackout...).

This is normal, all stereo power amp have a ceratain cross-talk between each channels but at a certain level.
