    Shredding into a Lone Star?

So, I've been feeling the itch to relive my jr. high/high school days and pick up an 80s-style shredder guitar. However, as my tastes have changed through the years, so have my amps, and currently all I have is my LSS 1x12 combo. Right now, I'm playing Les Paul and Strat-style guitars through it...

Which Hot Plate for my Lone Star Special?

Thanks for the reply. Can you help me understand a little about why I use the 8 ohm Hot Plate when I'm running out of the 4 ohm out? I'm a bit unclear on that part. Thanks, Brett

    LSS: Loud Popping

So, I have a Lone Star Special 1x12 which I love, but there is one thing that is going on, and I can't figure out the reason. Basically, whenever I switch into or out of 5w mode, there is a loud pop. This happens whether it is in the same channel (i.e., I flick the switch on the front of the...

a good overdrive pedal for my Lone Star?

I have the Lone Star Special, so this might not be 100% relevant ... For the Special, I tried the MXR Zakk Wylde pedal, which was quite good and very transparent, but I was looking for something with a little more gain (even run into the dirty channel, it didn't quite get there). I am now...
