Put a NOS rectifier tube in there and you should be all set....the stock 5Y3's in the LSS are junk,Dealt with the same problem myself....Good luck....The LSS is an amazing amp....

What wattage selection are you using,if you're using 5 or 15 watts on channel 1 and 30 on channel 2 then I would suspect the rectifier tube is dead....If you have not done so already,try channel 1 at 30 watts and see what happens.

then I immediatley put the amp back in standbuy and looked at all the tubes.Everything looked normal so I flipped it back on and brought the volume slowly up and the amp sounded fine.Any idea what could have caused this? I play this amp every day and never expierenced this before.I was certain...

First of all,Don't do it!!!!!!Second,even in the lowest power setting 2 tubes are operating (though only one is for audio)......This is covered in the owners manual which I'm sure you've read,right?

I would love to know what settings he used on his amp for that clip.....sounded incredible....

Good call my friend....Swapped tubes and have 5 watts again.I was thinking that might be the issue when trying to sort this out.I just didn't think a weak or failing tube could cause no output?.....Thanks again!!!

Need a little help.....my LSS is not working in the 5 watt mode,works fine in 15 and 30 so it's not the rectifier tube.Any help on this would be appreciated,Thanks......

I've been using a Lonestar special for a year now.One thing with this amp and most Mesa's for that matter is that the tone controls are very powerful.Subtle turns can have drastic results.Be patient and enjoy,The LSS is an amazing amplifier. :)

FYI...If possible,replace the blown 5Y3 with a diecent NOS one.Not terribly expensive,readily available and far better than the POS Mesa offers.This exact problem happened with my LSS last summer.Since using a NOS rectifier tube as a replacement,I've had zero issues and I play the amp every day.

Check your rectifier tube and re-check the fuse,I'm guessing the rectifier blew and took the fuse with it.This is a VERY common issue with this amp.Good luck and hope you get it straightened out.

You may want to check out Carvin as well.Most of their models are offered as leftys for no additional cost.BTW,i feel your pain for I am a lefty myself.......

I have a Lonestar Special as well.I have had great results with Fulltone cables and my pedalboard is wired with George L's,no complaints with any of my cables.Oh and I also use Monster speaker cables for my 2X12 vertical Recto cab..... :D

What made youu decide to use the slave instead of a speaker out?....I also run a LSS 1X12 into a 2X12 vertical Recto cab via the SPEAKER out and it sounds fine...

My LSS decided to have the rectifier tube for lunch today. I experienced some major noise and some visual arcing and then the fuse blew.....What a PISSER....,anyway,I replaced the tube with a NOS GE tube and replaced the fuse and now all is well....for now.My real question is,Is the stock Mesa...

I own an 07 LSS and from what I can gather I am pretty certain that this model is NOT fixed bias.My question is,when it comes time to replace power tubes,what sort of issues willI face determining compatability[Hopefully none :lol: ] Appreciate any feedback on this....
