Dude, seriously, get all the black paint off and just put some sort of laquer on there. It will look raw, yet finished. I think it looks hot just the way it is, as it matches the grill!

Weird! I just asked the same about all 6L6's and also with KT88's in the outer sockets. Bizarre! I'm not sure about your question however. C

Yes! There's something very Fender Ice Pick about the El34's. It's not as harsh, but it does not have that fat fat clean I've gotten from my other Mesa's using 6L6's only.

Awesome. I'm glad no one started flaming me for only wanting to use 6L6's. El 34's are cool, but they just don't have that round bottom end clarity I seek.

Hey all, Just got my Mark III blue stripe. Has simul class. I like running it Class A a lot for this latest project I'm working in. However, I was wondering if I can throw 6L6's in place of the El34's, so as to run 4 6L6's while running simul class, and 6L6's while running Class A.
