    4-Cable Technique LSS

I want to use the effects of a GT-6 and the drive/gain channel of my LSS. When I use the 4 cable techique it shuts off the drive/gain of the second channel. Everything sounds right, just no Mesa drive-****! Any ideas?

    LSS and Cell Phones

Anybody's LSS start sounding like it's got a dying mouse in it when a cell phone is activated close by? I haven't heard it before, but tonight each time the keyboard player's phone went off it made a stupid sound.

    Lonestar Special Problem

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood when you called the LSS a dog. Annoying...nah... you found an interesting characteristic of this amp I hadn't found, it just doesn't bother my use of the amp. I'm probably more like you than you would imagine about letting things go, if I was dissatisfied to a...

    Lonestar Special Problem

You know I've read your complaints about this problem for days now. If this problem with the extreme setting made the amp unusable I could understand the moniker of "dog". Everyone that has duplicated your problem has responded with the same sort of shrug. I've played this amp very loud and it...

Lone Star Classic verse's Special -Sparkling Cleans

I got to play them side by side. The LSC would be more useful for loud, unmiked venues. The LSS was just to juicy for me to pass up. I have a Twin to use with a AB/Y if I need the extra volume. The LSS 1X12 I played beside the 2X12 was a woody and had a lot more treble to my ears. I like the LSS...

Lone Star Special - Fan on, Fan off? When?

I leave mine on. It doesn't bother me and I figure Mesa wouldn't have wasted the time to put it in there unless they thought it was a good idea.

Looking to buy a Lone star. HELP!!

I tried this before, but I tried it again. I have the 2x12. If I max output, master and put send almost max(about 4 o'clock), I do get some high frequency squeal. I reported to you before I didn't, but I don't believe I was maxing the effects. It is weird, but for me I'd have to do amplifier...

Man, I'd really hate to make that decision without playing them. They are really different animals.

Looking to buy a Lone star. HELP!!

I like the 5 watt setting. I'm not a regular outside performer, so take it for what it's worth. It's louder than you might think, but the sound is good. I've had no issues at all with my LSS, but it doesn't make it out of my house often. I've been a Fender player all my life, the LSC is clean...

Looking to buy a Lone star. HELP!!

You mean TRRI and LSS? I really like the mix, the LSS has a distinctive classic sound, no pedals really necessary. The TRRI is a LOUD, clean amp, great for pedals and has the vibrato.

does the lonestar have a fan?

My LSS has a fan and it has a switch for recording, but it's very quiet.

Looking to buy a Lone star. HELP!!

I wanted a Vox, but wasn't turned on by the Vox construction, so I got the LSS 2x12 and I love the amp. Also have a Twin RI, gives me everything I need for classic rock. The LSC would have been my choice only if I didn't have the Twin, you can even use EL tubes in the Classic.

    Lonestar Special Problem

The LSS got the crap played out of it this weekend, about 7hrs. Fri. and 12 hrs. Sat. I'm involved in a reunion gig (Bloodrock, ZZTop, Creme..) and our lead practiced with it with no pedals. No problems, other than he had to keep asking me for the right knob to adjust. :D I used a Twin with...

    Lonestar Special Problem

I've not a problem with mine yet. After this weekend I'll know better, it's going to get a workout. I'll report if it gets squirrely.

    Lonestar Special Problem

Can't seem to make mine do this. With no guitar, all the way up no feedback. Does it do it on both channels?

    another painful new guy question

I agree, this is the sensible solution, I just always wanted an A type amp. The unsensible(?) thing to do is A/B with Twin and that's just what I did. :)

    another painful new guy question

Greetings fellow Mesa newbie. My main guitar is an 1966 ES-335 and it loves the LSS. I too play oldies. It gives a very Voxy like Beatle sound and I can't tell you how good it sounds doing Creme. It's the ultimate home rig because of the 5 watt setting. Funny thing, the 5 watt is still pretty...
