Roadster 2x12 combo vs. Roadster head/Roadster 2x12 cabinet

I just A/Bd a combo next to a a recto cab, the recto had more bass. I wanted the combo sound. This is a good question, I know somebody's heard all three.

    Roadster Cabs

They're designed for th Stiletto and their called the Roadster? I don't know, the roadster combo is a closed back combo and I liked the sound of it. The cab is close to that size. For my taste, the recto is too bassy.

    Roadster Cabs

I dunno. I just got a roadster and brought home a recto cab. The roadster cab pretty much is the same width of the head and from what I read here has less bass. It's about 10 lbs. lighter, so I'm waiting for a roadster cab to try (nice guys at my shop!). 8)

    New Roadster owner

I've had my roadster for a week and still cab evaluating. The recto cab that my shop had doesn't sound like the combo by any means, it's more bass. I tried a road king open/closed cab yesterday and am not thrilled. The road king didn't have the airy sound I thought it would have. These amps have...

    New Amp- Roadster

I can try later, that picture is a camera phone, my wife's memory stick is being used and out of her camera. That picture is just two on stage amp stands with the lower one put between the legs of the higher stand.

    New Amp- Roadster

It's two amp stands I had. Interlocked them so the head is just sticking out a little. Comes in handy for getting to the back of the head's "backwards" controls (compared to the combo). The sound is not for the weak of heart directly in front.

    Roadster 2x12 owners...help please

The manual states you can plug into any without damage, but increases tube wear with severe ohm mismatches.

    Road King Cab more versatile?

I've played the ca ca out of my new amp this weekend. One thing I noticed the sound can bite your head off with a strat or gibby. I had the LSS combo before. I wonder, would the half open design of the road king cab give me a more rounded sound than the recto 2x12? I play classic rock, not too...

    New Amp- Roadster

Thanks guys. I'm going to get them to order a roadster cab to A/B.

    New Amp- Roadster

Spent the day playing amps at my local store. Son of a buck, a Roadster followed me home! The combo weighs a much as a truck, so I got the head and a recto 2x12 cabinet (they didn't have a roadster cabinet). Do these cabinets have any real noticeable differences? They cost the same, but recto is...

Can anyone tell me more about the Lonestar?

Hey there Troach, what happened to your cable and telecaster? :D

    Lonestar Classic vs. Special

I played both side by side. I had a Twin, wanted a Vox but hated the construction of the new Vox amps. The Classic was LOUD, clean, like the Twin. For me, having the Special with a good A/B is a versatile mix. I love mine, practice everyday with the 5w setting. If had only one amp, I probably...

    Another Slave question, sorry

Before I fry something, I want to slave my LSS to a Reissue 65 Twin. There's no effects loop on the Fender, so I was going to set the slave low, max the mid on the Fender, go into the input. No blow up problems?

    4-Cable Technique LSS

Ok, I'd appreciate it. As far as the four cable technique goes, as I currently have it hooked up the amp has no tone controls, only volume. When I switch to the drive channel the green light goes off, showing the channel is switched, but no drive. I assume the amp's preamp is shut off, correct?

    4-Cable Technique LSS

No, I'm using the Mesa footswitch. How can you switch channels with the GT-6?
