    mark 2c+ tubes??

Yep, I believe they swapped the board. I know it was a major overhaul. I think I saw a post where they did about 15 of them. Its definitely a c+. I guess it has the 100 tranny vs the stock 105 on the regular ones. Don't know what kind of a difference that makes.

    mark 2c+ tubes??

Well, I tried a couple 12ax7s in the v2 slot where the 12at7 was. They were brighter and harder sounding, and really no more gain. I guess the v2 spot is a mixer amp and 'verb return. Anyone know what the mixer amplifier does? I actually like the 12at7 better there I think...smoother on the...

    mark 2c+ tubes??

I have a 2c+ I just pulled out of a combo cab to put back in its original head cab and noticed one of the tubes, V2 or V3 (I can't remember which...I'm at work now) was a 12AT7. Is that correct? I thought they were all 12ax7's ?? thanks for any help!

Older 2 channel DR, any sound diff in series vs par. loop?

Wondering if there is a tonal difference between the earlier series loop and later parallel loop in the early DR. If so, is this only when the loop is active? I have an older one that was converted at Mesa from series to parallel and was curious. thanks!

smoother high end from an older DR?

anyone have any tube suggestions for smoothing the top end some on a Dual Rec? I know thats not really the idea of the amp, but I know Holdsworth and some others have used them with good results. thanks

    Mark IV missing link?

Yep, that sounds like mine...it has an attached power cord too. Thank you guys so much for the info. I called Mesa Boogie and they said the B versions started around serial #7600. Guess they're only off by 1000 or so. I've been a Boogie user for a long time. I have an old B that I bought...

    Mark IV missing link?

I just got a Mark IV, serial #6512. It has the stereo loop w/ 3 triangular jacks and satellite send. Is this a 'B' version? I read somewhere on here the 'B' version started around #6700. Just curious. thanks for any help!

Which Stompboxes Compliment the Mark IV?

Yea, I heard there was a wait now...not the case when I got mine awhile back. I'm not a pedal expert but I'll bet there are some similar pedals out there.

Which Stompboxes Compliment the Mark IV?

Hermida Zendrive into channel 2 (don't pull the mid boost) sounds better that with any other amp I've tried. I like it better for some things than channel 3.

Mark 2C+ tube functions...which tube does what?

I have an old Mk2B that was updated to a 2C+ long ago. Can someone tell me the functions of each preamp tube? There are 4 in front and 1 in back (for the reverb?). I'm guessing the one closest to the input jack in front is the first gain stage, but other than that I'm not sure. thanks!
