Mark IV missing link?

I just got a Mark IV, serial #6512. It has the stereo loop w/ 3 triangular jacks and satellite send. Is this a 'B' version? I read somewhere on here the 'B' version started around #6700. Just curious.

not sure about the serial numbers, but the stereo loop is the hallmark of B's

It's an early B. Mine is 68XX from 10/93 and has the stereo loops and an attached power cord. It also has the powder coated chassis and not the face and rear plate of the IV A.

Yep, that sounds like mine...it has an attached power cord too. Thank you guys so much for the info. I called Mesa Boogie and they said the B versions started around serial #7600. Guess they're only off by 1000 or so. I've been a Boogie user for a long time. I have an old B that I bought when they sold direct that was updated to a 2C+ back in the day when the 2C+'s first came out. It still sounds great.

Mine has the stereo loop and Satellite hook-up; the serial # is IV-006289.

My old Mark IVA was IV 05221.

So the B should've been introduced somwhere between those.
