    Stiletto vs MarkV

Oh-- and right now, overall I like the voice of the Mark better, as well as the versatility. You can get tones like these from it

    Stiletto vs MarkV

I'm gonna do a tite gain video today, I actually have the gain cranked in the last video-- I have my pickups lowered on the Suhr to prevent 'stratitis'.. I'm gonna call Mesa and find out whether i have the trident stage 1 or 2

    Any converts from the Lonestar?

The only usable tones i've found with it are if you crank the master, and use the graphic EQ

    Stiletto vs MarkV

Okay, I got it. I did a quick and crappy video-- Fat Clean, and Fluid Drive-- not your typical Stiletto tone.. I still dig it though! I could probably get a tite gain tone that I am happy with, if I ran an EQ in the loop. Right now, there is just too much high end for my liking. Please...

    Mark V Strat users

Hahah... I actually prefer Suhr pickups over any other pickup that I've tried! I got both my guitars from a shop in Quebec - Diffusion Audio (boutique stuff!) I actually played my older JP last night at a buddies house-- I still really dig it, but there IS indeed a noticeable difference in...

I actually went from EBMM's to Suhr.. I had 2 axis SS's and 2 JP's. I still love those guitars, but the Suhr's are on a different level in tone, quality, etc. That said, their price is what it is for those reasons.. EBMM's are still sick guitars in my opinion.. So far, I've yet to play anything...

Hey dude, The suhr's come with it by default, not sure how it works, but it works on humbuckers as well.. I personally couldn't go back to playing a volume pot without this setup!

    Any converts from the Lonestar?

I switched, while keeping the lonestar for a while.. It made me realize how overly dark the LSS is..

I play Suhr's with my Mark V, one is HSS, and one is SSS They both have a cap to retain clarity when rolling back on the volume, and yes- it works great with this amp!

    Stiletto vs MarkV

I can literally do an A/B video between the two amps, next week.. I've got a stiletto coming Monday, and I've had a Mark V for a few months.. You can get stiletto'esque tones on Channel two of the MKV, Crunch mode, if you turn the channel volume up. I have yet to try the amp with el34's-- I bet...

    Orange cab

^^ I guess, in comparison to the recto 212, it sounded HUGE, and smooth.. Maybe I will eat my words in the future! Where in Maine are you located? I've played there quite a bit in the last few months

    Orange cab

I will in about a week, when my Stiletto arrives.. Right now I run a MKV into my Orange 212.. Its a very thick and dark cabinet, so I'm thinking it will sit right with the Stiletto!

Has anyone seen how the new Mark V's look like in the back ?

I called Boogie, and they told me that the bar didn't have enough high-mids, and that the cage took care of this issue, and really helps you cut through the mix! I'm going to take my head back to Long & Mcquade, and get them to swap it for the new 'cage' model!

    Styles of Music U play w/Mark V?

my touring band is christian rock, but my style is funk / jazz fusion.. the mark will do that style to perfection!

    Shreddin' on my LSS (video)

I like the cleans better on the Mark-- and also the low gain drives that i can get on ch3.. The mark v is very good for legato.. The only thing the lonestar has on the mark, is that bluesy snap (that is heard in the video above..) you can still get something similar from the mark--- i just...
