    Need Advice

Try switching your Air Norton to the Neck position and get a Dimarzio Tone Zone Single Coil for the bridge. That's what I'm using in one of my strats and I think it sounds great thru my Mark V.

    ''Rate your boogie''

I had a Trem-o-Verb head for 10 years prior to getting the Mark V. The Mark V blows the TOV away....I liked the TOV Modern Hi Gain Channel but the Blues Channel was wasn't very good, at least that's my opinion. And the Mark V kills the TOV Clean sound. I also never used the Tremolo on the...

    Favorite drummers?

Neil Peart - no need to elaborate. Alex Van Halen - best rock drummer ever....under appreciated due to the guitar wizardry of his bro. Charlie Watts - just because he's made a lot of $ without changing a beat ever in 50 yrs. Lars Ulrich - even though I think he's a douche, and a know it all...

Give up Lonestar to get Mark V?

I haven't heard a Lonestar in person so I can't give you real advice, but if you want the most versatile amp I have ever played, the Mark V is the way to go because it can go from crystal clear clean to ultra dirty piss off the neighbors distortion loudness...I imagine either is great depending...

    5 Favorite guitar tones:

What about D Mustaine's tones? Peace Sells, Countdown to Extinction, etc...Are we all too Metalli-heads to admit that Megadeth had some good tones? For him to be able to sing, remember the words, and pull off those riffs at the same time is pretty impressive...no matter what you think of him...

Mark V Tone - Channel Settings for Cover Band

Thanks Spacin...I'll give your Neil Young tones a shot...Nice insight on his tone. I've seen him live a couple times...I dig when he rocks out that old *** black LP with the Bigsby. Ya think he could afford a new axe...like a Dimebag looking axe....with a Floyd Rose.

Another good one is Black Crowes - Southern Harmony & Musical Companion - Particularly the short, but sweet lead solo in Sometimes Salvation... and they're from ATL!

I wish Paul Gilbert's tone would match his skill...then he would have it really cooking.
