    Timefactor/Modfactor vs G Major 2 / Nova Sys - Help please

I had the G-major 2 and it is a nice unit, and sounds good has lots of cool effects that you can tweak (but i mainly use delay and some chorus so most of the effects i ended up not using). it has channel switching which you can use with your mark iv. I was running my mark iv with a voodoo lab...

    Interface Recomendatons

I have a motu 8 pre which is really nice, but it doesn't have 8 outs. The preamps in the motu are really nice and clean. I recently got a Golden Age Project Pre73 and it really makes the recordings shine. Look into the MOTU 828mk3 FireWire Audio Interface...

I am very pleased with the G-Major 2, I am glad I bought it. I think its very transparent and the effects sound clear.

    Post your rig part 2

I am very happy with the GM2 I think the quality of the effect are great, very clear sounding. I had a Rocktron Multivalve before this which was nice but I think that the GM2 was def worth the money. Plenty of flexibility with the editing and I'm looking forward to the editor coming out soon...

    Tuners for a les paul.

Most Likely is a nut issue. I just replaced the nut on my 78 les paul and now the tuning is much more stable. I also put a set of locking Grovers that matched up perfectly with no drilling. (i never really liked most of the stock tuners on gibsons)

    4x12 speaker changes

I have two of the Veteran 30's in a Randall 2x12 cab, I think they sound good and am pleased with them, they are a little brighter than a real vintage 30. I do think my mesa 2x12 recto cab with real vintage 30's sounds much better but FWIW both the cabs are different sizes and are not even...

http://www.myspace.com/michaelreillymusic Cool summer breeze This is the start to my solo album I am working on. Take a listen let me know your thoughts. Xpression or G Major II?

I had a Rocktron Multivalve (basically an Xpression with channel switching and a tube) I did like it a lot. It sounded really nice and is easy to use, great unit. No complaints. I chose the Multivalve over the Xpression because of the channel switching option. However, I decided to take a...

Anyone else using IRs (impulse responses) instead of micing?

A DI box with a ground lift should fix your problem, I had the same issues with my mark iv before I got the DI box
