    one 8ohm + one 4ohm cab on 50/50

Thanks. I'm going to try it briefly, just to hear how it sounds. I also found a resistance converter on Tubetown, so I might try that too. Jan

    one 8ohm + one 4ohm cab on 50/50

On one side that is, there as 8ohm 412 on the left side. I've got an Engl 212 on the right, and I going to add a Rivera C210 to that. Can I just use the two 4 ohm outs on the right side? Jan

    Quad channel 1 treble shift

Hi I thought the treble shift on ch1 was supposed to only affect the lead mode? When I pull it, I do hear it in rhythm mode as well, and it doesn't sound good; lead does sound better with the TS pulled. Do you think a mod has been done to my unit, or maybe it's an older version, or other...

Quad : ch 1 Treble Shift

Hello, isn't the treble shift on channel 1 supposed to only work on the lead? The lead does sound best with that pulled, but then the rhythm doesn't sound right. Does this mean a mod has been done, or mine is some older version,...? thanks, Jan

    Nobels MS4

Just got the MS4, and guess what, I've already blown one relay. I thought the Nobels stuff was safe to use with the Quad. Any experience with it? thanks, Jan

    Lead 2 of Quad dead

That's it, thanks, also for the resources. Luckily, I had two tubes (Tung sol) lying around, so it was pretty quickly fixed. Jan

All of a sudden, no sound is coming from Lead 2 anymore : Rhythm 2 and the whole of Channel 1 are still working. Any ideas? thanks, Jan

    Quad and Axess CFX4

Ok, that's out with the CFX then. It does seem strange to me to use relays which can't handle Marshall or Mesa models. Would the relays on a TC G Force be safe to use? thanks, Jan

    Quad and Axess CFX4

I mailed him a week ago to check if it was safe, but didn't get a reply, so I tried anyway. I think relays 3 and 4 are broken. Jan

    Quad and Axess CFX4

Not again  I had'm replaced after connecting the unit to a Marshall amp. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay for another four relays and then hope they won't die on me again. Jan

    Quad and Axess CFX4

You need to use the CFX with a midi controller to get to its presets. I've assigned ctl1 to preset 1, ctl2 to preset 2 etc... Jan

    Quad and Axess CFX4

I'm trying to control the Quad with the CFX4, so I'm assigning ctl 1 to ch1 rhythm, ctl 2 to ch1 lead, etc... But when I activate ctl 1, it selects ch2 rhythm, ctl 3 selects ch1 lead and ch2 rhythm. What am I doing wrong here? Cables are connected correctly. thanks, Jan

    Quad/50-50 Issue

I was wondering : if you use the settings in the manual, doesn't channel 1 sound much louder than two? I need to turn ch1 to 2, and ch2 to 8 to get a good balance Jan

    Quad/50-50 Issue

Just used it with another cab, and now there's no problem. I guess something's wrong with the switching of the 1960V cab. Man, is this the combination of my dreams. I've read that people couldn't dial in a good rhythm 1 and then have a good sounding lead 1, but no probs for me there. I've...

    Quad/50-50 Issue

It's not the highend that's gone, it's the lowend. I don't have the original manual, and the text copied about tubes up here is from the later model of 50/50. I guess I'll take it to my amptech, buying Mesa tubes or having a tech installing other ones is about the same price. Jan

    Quad/50-50 Issue

It's not in the speakers, I've used them with another amp. I did get the 50/50 used. It's an old model, can you just put in two new tubes without rebiasing? thanks, Jan
