Lots of talk about Roadster vs. Dual Recto, but not much talk about Roadster vs. Roadking tone. Assuming I am using the same settings (4 6L6's on the Roadking, etc.) are the two identical?

I have been using Mark I mode ever sense I figured out how to dial it in. But after seeing Petrucci's Crunch mode settings I have been playing with Crunch mode and loving it. There is some great classic rock grind hidden in this amp.

They are sonically different for sure. But both are very "Mesa". The Roadster has that amazing Recto crushing rhythm tone you cant get out of the Mark V and the Mark V has that amazing liquid lead tone you cant get out of a Roadster. Ideally, I would own both. No amp on the planet (that I...

You dont need a forum to figure this out. It's right on the website. The footswitch allows for 3 channels to be selected.

HUH?!? The 5150 is nothing to transport compared to the awkward shape of the Mark V.

Am I the only one who is very uncomfortable carrying my Mark V head? Its so wide and heavy. Keep in mind I'm a 29 year old 230lb bodybuilder so I dont normally complain about carrying my gear but this head is a *****! Is there a case that makes this thing easier to transport? Maybe a a...

I agree completely with the highlighted statement. Once you know that, you can really begin to love your Mesa.

The Mark V is the only amp I have ever owned that got better as time went on. Most amps are amazing right when I get them, then over the course of the next few weeks, the honeymoon wears off. This amp just keeps getting better for me.

Hahaha, yes. That's part of making this amp sound great. It doesn't really "open up" until you get the channel masters half way and the output to about 10-11 o clock.
