I keep switching between Mark IV and Extreme Modes due to the great saturation of Mark IV but the balls of the Extreme. What mode and what settings do you use and why?

I have a Mark V and I know that is supposed to have one of the better Mesa loops, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with both the Boss and the TC delay. My main concern is having my tone sucked!

Not really. I'm a Fender guy (for cleans) and the Mark V is just different. FAT mode with the bass and treble turned up works nicely for cleans, but it's no Fender.

I agree with the turning it up thing. My Mark V Head (played through a 4x12 w/ V 30's) sounds best with the master at about noon. Of course I rarely turn it up to that. I keep it at about 10 most of the time.

I dont think so, man. I saw a pic of the back of his 3 Mark V's and they all had Mesa 6L6's.

I take that back. That's not entirely true... He uses a Roadking too. That has 4 6L6's and 2 EL34's...

Why did Mesa stop using EV's and go to C90's? Is the C90 a better choice for a 1x12 for a Mesa? How does the C90 fair for Mesa cleans? For Mesa High Gain?

I use a Carbon Copy in my loop and love it. The volume does drop slightly but I love the tone and sound. Def not "tone sucking".

That is sort of the conversation I wanted to get into. Open back cabs are too loose but closed back are too directional. I have heard about the 3/4 back but I'm just not sure. Looking for some input.
