The Preset sounds great at home at low volumes, but in the mix of a full band I use the sliders (only on CH3).

They may be similar in amount of gain, but they dont sound alike. The Lonestar is it's own beast.

I have both 8ohm and 16ohm cabs and I cant seem to tell a difference. It is a safe mismatch and I dont think there is any reason to worry.

I use a Blackstar 1x10 for the exat same purpose in the exact same situation. I love it.

I too am interested in this... I would love to find a good Plexi-esque setting for CH2 but I cant seem to find one. I am using 6L6's and I dont want to change to EL34's yet. Any ideas?

How do you guys set it up? And what type of sound are you going for with this mode?

The answer would really depend on what type of music you are playing. I lean twords heavier music so I use a Recto (4x12 or 2x12) but if I was playing clean or slightly dirty I would get one of those 3/4 back 1x12 or 2x12 depending on your sound requirements.

Are you running the Presence wide open with the bright switch on??? That must sound incredibly high pitch. What is your thought process here?

Is there a tonal difference between the different colors?

Do I have to match all 4 power tubes or can I do 2 red and 2 green?
