Considering selling Mark I Reissue - how much?

Yeah, I'd be interested too...I've got a Mark I Reissue in wood and wicker...put it on Ebay twice, thinking I could get at least $1000, but the highest bidder was $850! Anyway, I've seen them go for as low as $700 to as high as $1150 (a wood and wicker I saw on Ebay a couple of months ago)...

    FS: Mark I RI, wood/wicker, EVM 12L 300w

Well, as they say, I really hate to let this go...seriously, I love this amp, but the kids need toys for Christmas! I am the second owner, it was purchased originall in 1996, and I bought it about 4 months ago--I've got the original reciept, manual and manual for the speaker (as if you need...

Anyone ever run any of their settings at '10'?

Well, on my Mark I reissue, using input 1 (cascading), I set Volume 1 at 10 and Volume 2 at around 2-3. Not really good at describing sounds, but anyway, I like it. Tom

    EVM-12L lore

Thanks for posting this...I always thought the 12L was 200 watts, but I've got one with a manual that says 300...thought maybe there was a screw up.

I notice a couple of you guys talking about JJ tubes...well, I just bought some Groove Tube 6V6's for my Mark I RI and they sound pretty good, but I'm wondering now, did I blow it? Meaning, are the JJ's alot better, in your opinion, of course. Also, I've got the EV speaker in mine and I'm...

    Channel switching for Mark I...how?

Thanks for the insight...yeah, something tells me there's something else going on with the A/B. I tried it the other night again with my Boss pedal, and for some reason, volume 2 is huge but volume 1 is reall quiet...anyway, I'm going to call Mesa. As far as the graphic EQ and pull knobs, yeah...

    Amazing MkIII tone!!!!

OK, this is going to sound kind of dumb...but what do you guys use to hook up the effects pedal (I've got that Boss EQ and I want to try it out as you said)? Meaning, do you just take two long guitar cables and then route them to the send & return on the amp? Isn't that a lot of "mucky-muck" for...

    Channel switching for Mark I...how?

HA! Yeah, I'll just scream "SOLO TIME!" and then run quickly over to the amp, pull out the chord to volume 2 (*crackle*), slam it into volume 1 (*crackle*), adjust the master, and then start ripping...shouldn't take me THAT long, sheesh. Well, as far as the A/B goes, I thought I knew what it...

    Channel switching for Mark I...how?

Hmm...my Boss line selector pedal (which I thought was basically an A/B box) should work shouldn't it? I'll have to try it again...I thought maybe there was something funny about the two inputs in that if both are plugged in, maybe they cancelled eachother out? And yeah, I've been thinking about...

Which other Boogie Mark sounds closest to the Mark 1?

Thanks for the replies...I played a Mark IV at the Hollywood store, but wasn't really blown away...but heck, that thing had so many knobs on it, that I don't think I really took enough time to get a good sound out of it...I think that's why I went for the Mark I--as soon as I turned it on I...

Which other Boogie Mark sounds closest to the Mark 1?

I LOVE my Mark 1 reissue, but I'd like to get another Boogie amp that can channel switch (or get a cable for the Mark 1, addressed in earlier post). There's probably no exact answer, but in your opinion, which channel-switching Mark sounds closest to the Mark 1 (reissue or original...I haven't...

    Channel switching for Mark I...how?

First, I know it's not supposed to be a channel switching amp. That being said, is there a way to hook up some cables to it so I can switch between "channel" 1 and 2? I tried my Boss Line Selector pedal, and for some reason, it did not work (unless I hooked it up wrong). Is this something that...

Thanks for all this info....I've been wondering about this stuff since I bought my Mark I reissue, and you've clarified everything for me, especially the part about the load on the speaker and amp. Thanks. Tom

Yeah, I've got the same questions...it would be great to hear of someone in the know. I've been using 6L6's in 60 watt/tweed mode, using the 8ohm speaker with the 4ohm jack...so far no problems, sounds awesome. I'm guessing in this mode it's 30 watts....? TPM

Hey RR, how's it going? Well, there was a problem with my Studio Series, the volume kept dropping and then coming back (long story), so after asking questions on this board and then taking it Mesa Boogie in Hollywood two times (the guys there said the board was somewhat baked so it would be too...

I recently bought a MKI reissue and I freaking love it...it's the best amp I've ever owned...OK, I haven't had that many amps, but whatever...as some have said, you're not going to get that metal crunch (I can't anyway), but you do have a surprising amount control over your crunch--between the...

    WTB: Mark I Reissue

Stock 1x12 combo, prefereably wood w/wicker. Will pay $700-$1200. Thanks! Tom (Los Angeles area)

    Considering a Mark I...ohms question

RR- Yeah, I never even got a chance to use the head you sold me! I'm going to keep it, I'll see if the Mark I (once I get it) will fit in there. I'll probably use all four 6v6's, but put it on the 60W position, which I think means only two tubes are being used. What I'm trying to do is get the...

    Considering a Mark I...ohms question

Well, since I can't fix my Studio Series, I'm considering the Mark I...I played one at the Mesa store the other day and it sounded awesome. I have a question about ohms and speaker connections. I would probably want to use this amp with the lowest possible watts "setting" - 60 watts switch, 6V6...

Studio Series 1x12 (with problems) for sale - $250

From what I've researched on this board and elsewhere, the "Studio Series" is basically the precursor to the Studio .22. It's 22 watts, 5-band EQ, dual channel, shared master volume and preamp volume, 1X12 w/Celestion Vintage 30. This thing sounds awesome...that is, when it's working. There is...
