    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

just stumbled onto your post. the 25 and 35 will have a somewhat "smaller" feel and headroom than the v..This isn't a bad thing for some, you may like that. The 35 isn't nearly as "lunch box" size as the 25 but still small and weighs more than a 25,less than a v.The sweet spot on a 35 ( master...

    Mesa Mark IV and pedals/stompboxes

I cant attest for fuzz type pedals into the iv,but man, does it really take well my friedman overdrive and diezel vh4 pedals in ch 2. mode. They also sounded good obviously in ch1.I like these overdrive pedals in ch 2 a bit better, cause you add just a teeny tiny bit of natural amp grit to the...

    Mark V35 ordered!

I plan on buying both at some point the funding permits it.Plan is to order a nice flamed wooden shell and cab for the living room in v25,then for gigging out a regular 35.The 35 is prob a tad more versatile w/the 4 84s,solo boosts, and full cab clone. But cranked up,the feel of the 4 84's workin...

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

................agree with that too.makes sense to me..in the a/b test, when we cranked em up a bit,the 35 did take on some different characteristics...and to make things even tougher for the buyer, they both sounded great cranked!..

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

For me,I'm sure I'll probably end up buying both. The a/b we did at the store speaks for itself, all present did hear some differences in them. I'm just greatful and thankful to have been a part of it.There was no "loser" in that a/b. They both win in everyone's opinion that was there that day.It...

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

Just spent close to 3 hrs in all out dual off demo of the 25 & 35 into same cab.All controls set the same,no five band used until end of demo, both set at 25 then 10 watts.Done in store and supervised by owner. Not sure if it was recorded or not,but 3 employees watched and checked in over the...

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

Im gonna buy one of these. So now, after some time has gone by since they've both been out, what can you all tell me about the actual "tone" differences in the two heads preferrably? Or is it just a "feel" thing cause of the iron and tube count? No answer is wrong here.Did anybody a/b them with...

Mesa Simul Satellite head to rack version

You would be more than welcomed to demo the rig, if you're ever in the area. Its often been at a few studios in town and on occasion a gig or two.Congrats on your new guitar !

    New Mesa/Boogie Rack Product Ideas

Well, of course- an "exact" internal circuitry MK II c++ preamp...But maybe even even better, revamp the quad a bit-theres a whole to like about it as is though..Maybe a cab clone in her,etc..but im all for a 2 or 3 space mkV rack pre too.Dont know whats happening lately on this, but a while back...

Mesa 295 or Mesa 2:90 to replace a Mesa 50/50

My 295 was the rear control version..very early one..I get a chuckle to this day when I think of that 295 hitting my doorstep...back in the day, 88-89'ish,I was in metal band that was the equivalent(sort of) of racer x,but a christian version- so to speak- or at least we thought we were.lol.I...

Mesa 295 or Mesa 2:90 to replace a Mesa 50/50

There are some different ways to look and sort through your question.I can tell you having owned a 290,295,400,395,and now I own a 500 and no, you don't need "it" to shatter glass,(the 50/50 will easily do that ), but there is a "hard to put into words" aspect of playing through the 295.395, or...

    IV v.s. III

    .......................very well said!

    IV v.s. III

There is definitely more of a "rawness" or " aggressiveness" in the III, than the IV-no matter how you set the IV.And I do love my IV.Also some IV users are notorious for having troubes getting a decent thing going w/ ch.2..although I can say ive heard some pretty nice tones from 2,if enough...

Favorite pedal to use with your Mark III

My mk III red stripe and coli red stripe have so much gain I cant hardly imagine a pedal in the front- at least for more gain.As replied, maybe a compressor,or say a timmy/archer,etc on ch2, idk..I love my mkiii's as is I guess.good question though..

Have you compared Mark 3 Colisseum to Mark 3 Simul ?

I have a mkIII red stripe simul head and a mkIII red stripe coli head.Ive used them both on the road and in the studio for different tones and purposes. They are not the same, that's for sure. (with the same guitar, same cab, same everything) the coli is more authoritive and the bottom end...
