I'm buying a LSC but which one- 1x12 or 2x12 combo - Help!?

The power rating is the same. It's the same amp. The perceived volume may ne different though. I believe it;s the same speaker.

    New to Board--"Gavin Degraw"

Why three of them in less than a year?? I'm on the verge of buying a 1x12 LSC.

    LSS 1x12, 2x12 or 4x10?

Exactly what I was thinking. I'd only need to carry the cab for bigger gigs.

    LSS 1x12, 2x12 or 4x10?

I'm considering adding a 1x12 cab. Of course first I have to buy the 1x12 LSC :-). My band has 8 pieces and is fairly (not extremely) loud. Today I use a 40-watt 2x12 Fender Pro Reverb. I just can't deal withthe 15 pound difference it would be to go with the 2x12 LSC.

    LSS 1x12, 2x12 or 4x10?

Sabu, Did you use the ext cab also? WHat type of playing situation was it? Did you use the POD XTL also? I'm actually getting one of those also, but mostly for home recording. Would love to hear about your experience. Thanks, Dennis

    LSS 1x12, 2x12 or 4x10?

Man I am so close I can almost taste a new LSC. Had a "big" birthday, got lots of cash and I'm ready to make a move. I liked the comment that the 1x12 seemed to scream more. I like the fact that it's 15 lbs lighter than the 2x12 also.

Well, it sure LOOKS sweet. Good luck!

    Mesa Boogie Lonestar No Longer

You THINK???? Let's see the Twin has two options: turn it up or turn it down. The LSC has two channels, which can be independently set for 100 or 50 watts. each with a boost and channel two has the option of an exra gain stage. Not to mention the choice of two reverbs with individual controls...

    Lonestar classic vs Special

The Crates sound good, but I hear they are not very roadworthy. If you're playing at hhome it probably doesn't matter too much.

I'm buying a LSC but which one- 1x12 or 2x12 combo - Help!?

I'm in a similar situation, except that the weight is what I'm concerned about. We're talking a 15 lb difference here (60 lbs for the 1x12, 75 lbs for the 2x12). I played a 2x12 the other night and it was great. The store also happened to have a 1x12 cabinet, so I unplugged the internal...

LoneStar Classic with Attenuator...Anybody Doing This?

Do a search, there are one or two other threads on this subject.

So which did you like better, or which will you keep in the amp?

Lonestar Classic 1x12 or 2x12 in a live situation?

I'm leaning towards the 1x12 and adding another 1x12 cab later for bigger gigs

Lonestar Classic 1x12 or 2x12 in a live situation?

Thanks for the responses. I'd like to get the 1x12. Currently I use a blackface Fender Pro Reverb. It's only 40 watts, but the two 12's move a lot of air. From what I'm hearing the 100 watts should easily make up for it.

Lonestar Classic 1x12 or 2x12 in a live situation?

Anyone gigging with the LSC? Do you have the 1x12 or 2x12? What do you think of it? I'd like to keep the weight down, so I'm thinking of gettng the 1x12. Thanks, Dennis

    Lonestar Classic with an attenator?

Interesting approach. I'll have to try it when I finally buy mine! :-)

Lone Star users please explain the Output and Solo feature

Like I said, the Output and Solo controls give you two seperate settings for the same function which enables the boost. You can try an experiment: set them at the same level and engage the boost. The sound should be unchanged.

    Lonestar Classic with an attenator?

Anyone using an LSC with an attenuator? Hot Plate, Air Brake, etc? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

Lone Star users please explain the Output and Solo feature

Think of the Output and Solo controls as two settings for the same thing: overall volume of the amp. Normally the Output controls this, when you hit the boost on the footswitch you are at the level set by the Solo control.

    Lone Star fun

For my third post today, I'll say that the LSC is like a Twin on steroids. :-) "Clean Headroom" is subjective in that it means I can be as loud as I need to be and still stay clean.
